13 Years of Absence, the American National Team Is Ready To Go To the Olympics Again

DBasia.news – The United States (US) U-23 national team will return to work at the Olympics starting on Friday (19/3) in the morning. Uncle Sam’s team will compete in the Olympic qualifiers for the Concacaf zone in Mexico.

The last time the American national team qualified for the Olympics in soccer, their center-back was 6 years old. America at that time failed to qualify from the group after losing to Nigeria.

“To qualify, we have to win,” said Jackson Yueill, the US U-23 midfielder who was elected captain.

The US struggle in qualifying began against Costa Rica. American coach Jason Kreis is optimistic that his team will be able to escape from the Concacaf zone.

“We need to continue to signal that we are the dominant team in the region,” said the former Orlando City SC coach

“So, I believe this is an important moment for us to continue to be on the winning path, to change people’s opinions about our national team program,” he concluded.
