AC Milan Asked To Recruit Experienced Players

DBasia.news –  Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini, two AC Milan legends who now hold positions in the board of directors, have asked Elliott Management to recruit experienced players.

AC Milan still believes they can compete in the Champions League next season. Although, until now, Il Diavolo Rosso are only ranked 10th in the standings with 13 points.

Milan’s brand-new coach, Stefano Pioli, insisted he would not give up. The former Inter Milan strategist stated that he would fight until the end.

“We have to believe in that. If you believe in something, that might happen,” Pioli said, as reported by Calciomercato.

“At the end of the season, we will evaluate. However, we also have to really believe. We have to prove that the team is struggling from beginning to end,” continued the tactician.

At present, AC Milan’s squad is dominated by young players. According to Boban and Maldini, that is the reason the Rossoneri game did not develop. Milan needs experienced players to cultivate a winning mentality and provide experience.

Based on Corriere della Sera’s report, Maldini and Boban are looking for a new leader in the Milan squad. As Alessio Romagnoli who has been relied upon has still not been optimal.

Maldini and Boban reportedly will soon meet Elliott management to seek for approval. If the green light is given, the two figures will immediately move on the winter transfer market.

One of the players on the Milan radar is Ivan Rakitic. However, the Croatian player is also the target of Manchester United and Inter.
