DBasia.news – AC Milan made a blunder that led to a goal against Udinese. The Rossoneri are now the team that has created the most problems.
The Udinese vs AC Milan match took place at the Dacia Arena in the continued Italian League, Sunday (12/12/2021) morning WIB. Le Zebrette took the lead through Beto’s goal in the 17th minute.
This goal came from the mistakes of Milan players. Ismaël Bennacer’s pass was failed to be picked up properly by Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Tolgay Arslan was able to steal the ball and pass it to Beto to then deal with Milan’s goalkeeper. Mike Maignan had won the one-on-one duel, but the ball bounced back to Beto’s feet, who did not waste a second chance.
Milan can be said to be lucky not to lose in this match. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the 1-1 equalizer in injury time.
Opta noted that AC Milan is a team from Europe’s top five leagues who have made the most blunders and scored goals since November 2021. So far there have been four goals from mistakes by Milan players in the Italian League, not including in the Champions League against Liverpool in a 1-2 defeat at the San Siro.
“We conceded a very ridiculous goal because we lost the ball, because we made the wrong decisions and played too centrally rather than spread out,” Milan coach, Stefano Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.
“I don’t know if it’s a lack of confidence, but it’s definitely a lack of sharpness and we have to be a lot more careful with the ball at our feet.”
“I think we lost a bit of solidity in defense over the last few games, we weren’t sharp when playing from defense and that opened up space. This is a tactical issue that we need to work on and I’m sure the players will be ready for that,” Pioli confirmed.
AC Milan is still sitting at the top of the standings with 39 points. The Rossoneri can be overtaken by Inter Milan if they can beat Cagliari.
