DBasia.news – The two remaining matches in Serie A 2021-2022 will determine who wins the Serie A title between Inter Milan and AC Milan. Given that the two are only two points apart.
Milan will face Atalanta in Week 37 at the San Siro, Sunday (15/05) at 23.00 WIB, while Inter visited Cagliari headquarters (16/05) at 01.45 WIB.
Atalanta no longer have a specific target as Gian Piero Gasperini’s team is already well established in the middle of the standings. The situation is different for Cagliari who are still fighting to stay away from the relegation zone.
From the two matches, Milan’s match is relatively likely to win three points than Inter, who face Cagliari and will appear all out. But Stefano Pioli asked AC Milan to focus on the match against Atalanta, not thinking about Inter.
“It will be a tough game for which we need to prepare well. We just have to focus on the game and that will determine what will happen next,” Pioli said as quoted by Football-Italy.
“I’m not going to think about Inter’s game, I don’t care. We don’t need more motivation than we already have because we are already at the top of this.”
In the first meeting against Atalanta, Milan won 3-2. However, Pioli still emphasizes the potential danger that Atalanta presents, especially when they play without a burden.
“We have been playing knockout games since the game against Lazio. We’ve crossed a lot of hurdles and we have another one tomorrow. Atalanta will force us to put in our best performance, they are the best team away from home after us.”
“This is a very important game, we will not change our mentality. We played well in the previous game, against a strong opponent. I expect different things from Gasperini tomorrow, we don’t know who will play,” he explained.
