AC Milan is Interested in Signing Rodrigo De Paul

DBasia.news – AC Milan is reportedly approaching Udinese midfielder, Rodrigo de Paul. Rossoneri believes De Paul can strengthen his team’s midfield.

Rodrigo de Paul has defended Udinese since 2016. Currently, he has the status of being captain.

However, De Paul wanted to experience a new challenge. The Argentine player dreams of appearing in the Champions League. Currently, this dream cannot be realized with Udinese.

Rodrigo de Paul has also been linked with a number of clubs. At the beginning of the 2020-2021 season, the former Valencia player was rumored to be a bone of contention for Leeds United and Liverpool. Then, there are also Inter Milan and Juventus monitoring the midfielder.

Now, according to Calciomercato’s report, AC Milan is in the race for Rodrigo de Paul. The Rossoneri are confident because they can realize De Paul’s desire to play in the Champions League.

However, Milan faced a problem because Udinese did not let the 27 year old player walk away easily. Udinese want at least 40 million euros from the sale of De Paul.

This amount is quite high for the AC Milan transfer market. The Rossoneri are frugal as incomes have declined due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Monitoring Olivier Giroud

At the same time, Milan is reportedly also targeting the signature of Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud. Unlike De Paul, the French striker can be brought in on a free transfer.

For Milan, Giroud will increase the choice of striker. The Rossoneri hopes that the arrival of Giruod will make it less dependent on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score goals.
