AC Milan Lost, Granada Beat Barcelona

DBasia.news –  AC Milan and Barcelona continued their defeat in the continuing matches of Europe’s top leagues.

Inter Milan won 0-2 when they traveled to AC Milan headquarters in the fourth week of Serie A 2019-2020, at the San Siro Stadium, Sunday (9/22) AM. The victory strengthened Inter’s position at the top of the standings.

Despite only registering possession of 48 percent, Inter Milan were far more attacking. The Nerazzurri registered 16 chances throughout the match.

Inter Milan had scored in the first half through Lautaro Martinez. Unfortunately, the goal was disallowed as Danilo D’Ambrosio was first caught offside.

Despite failing to score a goal in the first half, Inter did not necessarily relax on the attack. Inter’s efforts paid off in the 49th minute.

Inter took a 1-0 lead after Marcelo Brozovic fired a shot which fooled Gianlugi Donnarumma. Brozovic’s kick first hit the Milan player until he changed direction.

Inter Milan moved away in the 78th minute. Romelu Lukaku scored his third goal in Serie A after receiving Nicolo Barella’s pass. The 0-2 score lasted until the whistle blew.

Turning to LaLiga, Barcelona unexpectedly were unable to do much in front of Granada after losing 2-0 in the fifth week of the 2019-2020 LaLiga match, at the Los Carmenes Stadium, Sunday (9/22) AM.

Granada were ahead when the game entered the 2nd minute. Ramon Azeez’s header in front of the goal brought the host to be ahead.

Afterwards, Barcelona tried to equalize the position. However, the layered defense of Granada has made the Barcelona players wary.

El Grana widened the distance in the 66th minute through Alvaro Vadillo’s penalty kick. Previously, the referee pointed to the spot after Arturo Vidal touched the ball with his hand.

The 2-0 score lasted until the game ended. That way, Barcelona has slipped to number seven in the standings. Meanwhile, Granada raced to the top of the standings with 10 points.
