AC Milan Need Simon Kjaer in Defense
By db-admin
DBasia.news – AC Milan looks starting to run out of gas. One of the factors is the absence of Simon Kjaer at the back. The Rossoneri defense was younger penetrated when Kjaer was not on the field.
AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli, openly criticized the defense. According to the coach, Milan conceded too easily. An example is when Milan conceded two goals against Genoa.
“The goals that happened were too many. Today we did not score goals well. We did not close the space on the two crosses. That’s not good,” explained Pioli as reported by Calciomercato.
There are concerns because Milan will face strong opponents, Sassuolo and Lazio, in the next two matches. The Rossoneri began to miss Simon Kjaer’s figure.
Currently, Simon Kjaer is recovering. The hope is that Kjaer can take part in the next match.
When Simon Kjaer featured, Milan conceded 18 goals in 20 matches. That way, the average is 0.9 goals per game.
Meanwhile, without Simon Kjaer’s appearance, Milan conceded seven goals in four matches. The average has almost doubled (1.75). These statistics prove the great role of Simon Kjaer. Young players like Pierre Kalulu are considered insufficient to be an equal substitute.
Simon Kjaer’s important role is seen in contributing to balance and tactical intelligence. Although, Kjaer is not a charismatic player in the dressing room like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
In addition, the former Sevilla player also gave confidence to his duet friend, Alessio Romagnoli. With his experience, Kjaer became the leader of all defenses.
Of course, AC Milan really hopes that Simon Kjaer can appear in the match against Sassuolo. The presence of kjaer is sorely missed.
