DBasia.news – Despite his indisciplinary cases, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still liked. AC Milan are the latest club to be linked with the Arsenal striker.
Aubameyang and Arsenal’s time together is on the brink. The Gunners are believed to be trying to sell their former captain in the remainder of the winter transfer window.
Aubameyang has been suspended from the Arsenal main squad since mid-December. Mikel Arteta assesses that his players have not shown their commitment after being absent from training several times.
The winter transfer market is an opportunity for Arsenal to sell Aubameyang. The North London club have also moved to find a replacement.
Aubameyang had been linked with a number of big clubs such as Barcelona, Juventus, to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). There is also a tempting offer from the Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr.
Now Milan has extended the list clubs interested in Aubameyang. According to a report by Sky Sports, the Rossoneri need to add a senior striker as Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are often sidelined through injury.
Milan does need the contribution of experienced strikers. They are in fierce competition with Inter Milan for the Scudetto.
Aubameyang is not new for Milan. The Gabonese striker had studied at the Il Diavolo Rosso academy in 2007.
However, Milan’s efforts to reunite with Aubameyang are constrained by salary. The 32-year-old player’s salary has reached £350,000 per week.
Milan would have a challenge in meeting that amount. Moreover, Arsenal will not release him for free as Aubameyang is still under contract until the summer of 2023.
