DBasia.news – Former President of AC Milan, Silvo Berlusconi claimed to have a way to restore the glory of AC Milan. Besides discussing the Rossoneri, Berlusconi also quipped the words of Ivan Gazidis, CEO of Milan.
As is known, recently Gazidis expressed the surprising fact that Milan was on the verge of bankruptcy when he came from Arsenal and is potentially heading down to the lower division of Italy. According to Berlusconi, this should not have been said in public.
“There is a term that someone should only say it if he goes to the toilet and closes the door first (not everything can be discussed in public),” Berlusconi told TeleLombardia.
Milan’s financial condition had gradually improved when the club was taken by Elliott Management. Although they have yet to achieve in terms of trophies and difficulties in entering the Champions League zone, Milan are on the right track to increase revenue, moreover they are making a new stadium project with Inter Milan.
At present Milan is not a respected team in Italy and Europe like in the past. The team that won seven Champions League titles had stumbled in Italy, was in the shadow of Juventus, and was inconsistent in trusting a coach.
Berlusconi, who had been a Supremo of Milan from 1986 to 2017, showed his love for Milan and claimed to be interested in re-managing the 18-Scudetto-winning club.
“As for the ways in which Milan can return to being a great team like in the past, then this is simple, but at the same time it is challenging to make it happen: give the club back to Silvio Berlusconi,” added Berlusconi.
Milan are now staring at a new era under the care of former Inter Milan and Fiorentina coach, Stefano Pioli. He came to replace Marco Giampaolo who was let go after swallowing four defeats in Serie A.
