Achraf Hakimi Has Found his Comfort Zone at Inter Milan

DBasia.news – Achraf Hakimi is one of the many names that is widely rumored ahead of the opening of the transfer window this summer. But the player seems to have found comfort at Inter Milan.

Hakimi was brought in by Inter from Real Madrid with a tag of 40 million euros ahead of the 2020-2021 season. However, the financial crisis that hit the Nerazzurri which resulted in stalled transfer payments has made other big clubs on alert.

Inter are rumored to be selling a number of its stars this summer to stabilize their balance sheet. It is possible that Hakimi would be included in this list.

But Hakimi has not thought about leaving Inter. He even emphasized his desire to stay at the Giuseppe Meazza for some time.

“The team that interests me the most is Inter and I see it as a growth project. I am honored to be one of the testimonials for the new club logo, “Hakimi told La Repubblica.

“I like to see a future where we can build together. I hope to stay at this club for a long time because I am very happy here.”

Conte Factor

Hakimi has good reasons to stay at Inter. He wants to continue playing under Antonio Conte.

Hakimi has indeed become one of Conte’s mainstay players. His role as an aggressive full-back is urgently needed in the 3-5-2 scheme concocted by the former Juventus coach.

“I grew up at Real Madrid with four defenders, but I have more freedom to go forward in a 3-5-2 formation. “The focus on tactics and defense is at the heart of Conte’s football idea and makes me a more complete player,” he added.

“He is like an older brother because of his age and experience. He lets us be free and enjoy our football.”
