After bringing in Ruben Dias, Guardiola claims Manchester City’s activity in the transfer market is over

DBasia.news – Manchester City manager, Josep Guardiola has revealed that the Citizens’ transfer activity has ended with the arrival of center-back, Ruben Dias from Portuguese club, Benfica this summer. Ruben Dias was brought in from arch rivals, FC Porto for a fee of 62 million euros.

Dias is under a contract for the next six years at the Etihad Stadium. In moving the Portuguese footballer, Manchester City actually included Nicolas Otamendi’s name. Otamendi is valued at 14 million pounds or around Rp. 266.9 billion to ease the burden on the transfer value of Dias.

“I think it will end. I don’t know, maybe someone wants to leave. So we’ll see what happens until the end,” explained Guardiola as quoted by Tribalfootball, Friday (2/10).

Now with Dias being present, it is reported that Eastland’s next target is to bring in a left-back who was the team’s problem during the last season.

Several candidates floated including Ajax Amsterdam’s left back, Nicolas Tagliafico. However, in his latest statement Guardiola said City’s move in the summer’s mercato was over.
