DBasia.news – Bad luck is happening to Mario Balotelli. Once again, he became the target of criticism. Interestingly, the critic came from his own teammate, Dante. Specifically, Dante criticized Balotelli’s performance when Nice got defeated by Montpellier with a 0-1 score on weekend.
In that match, the Italia national team striker was believed to play full time by the coach Patrick Viera. But Balotelli gave a minimum contribution. He got a yellow card at 53′.
Overall, Nice just scored target goal twice. Speaking to Canal+, Dante warned Balotelli to stop looking for excuses everytime the team got a poor result. The Brasilian player believed the real problem is in Balotelli’s.
“There’s no point blaming the team and saying we don’t get the best out of his qualities. No! There were times when the team didn’t play so well and I defended them,” Dante said.
“But we must always be self-critical and question ourselves at every turn to make sure we’re doing our best,” the former Bayern Munich player added.
This chance, Dante also suggested Balotelli improve his performance, especially the physical condition. As we know, the former striker of FC Internazionale and AC Milan is too fat.
Due to his weight, he was criticized as a lazy player and not smart on the pitch when supporting Italia national team. Dante agreed to that.
“It’s up to him to step up and take charge in the attack, to take on some responsibility. He’s not in great shape physically, we know that but it’s up to him to work and train to improve his fitness levels,” Dante continued.
