Agent claims Philippe Coutinho wants to return to the Premier League

DBasia.news – Philippe Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian claims that his client wants to return to play in the Premiere League.

Coutinho left Liverpool to move to Barcelona in January 2018, with him being redeemed at £ 142 million and receiving a contract until June 2023.

However, Coutinho failed to live up to expectations at Camp Nou until he was loaned out to Bayern Munich last summer, while the Bavarian club had the option to permanently secure his services.

Coutinho appeared brilliantly in Germany before the competition was suspended due to the corona virus pandemic, as he managed to pack nine goals and eight assists from 32 appearances in all competitions and is currently absent with an ankle injury.

Some time ago Bayern announced that they were not activating the permanent purchase option for the Brazilian star, and thus the player would return to Barcelona but Joorabchian revealed Coutinho’s interest in returning to play in the Pemiere League.

“We are still waiting for the season to finish before we start talking about many things in terms of transfers,” Joorabchian told talkSPORT.

“I always say that he [Coutinho] is happy to play in the Premiere League.

“He really enjoyed his time and if there was a chance to return to the Premiere League, whether it was that year or in the future, he would definitely consider it.”

Although his name was excluded from the Barcelona first team and is heading towards Bayern’s exit, Coutinho still had people interested.

So far, a substantial amount of clubs are interested in the 27-year-old player including Juventus, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspurs.

Coutinho was reportedly headed home to Anfield, but the manager, Jurgen Klopp did not need his services as there were already several names he could count on in position No. 10

In addition to this position, Coutinho is often shifted to act both as the right wing and left wing and that has happened several times in his career.

As for now, the value of Coutinho on the market has declined sharply to 56 million euros, and it is more or less influenced by the corona virus pandemic
