Al Sadd Defeated 2-6 in the Club World Cup, Xavi Furious

DBasia.news –  Al Sadd had to be defeated by a score of 2-6 when against African representatives, ES Tunis in the Club World Cup match which took place at the Khalifa International Stadium, Doha, Tuesday (17/12). The defeat has infuriated the coach, Xavi Hernandez.

The Qatari champion was crushed by striker, Hamdou Elhouni’s hat-trick, with Xavi describing the performance of his team-mates “extremely disappointing” in the match for fifth place.

Al Sadd themselves had to play with ten players after defender Abdelkarim Hassan was sent off by the referee in the 24th minute for blocking the ball into the goal using his hands.

And Xavi expressed his frustration at the press conference session, calling the attitude of the players to be unacceptable.

“I am truly sad, highly disappointed and furious as we played the first two games well,” Xavi said.

“This is a premium for us and I don’t understand (with the attitude) of this team today. This is not what we want.

“We are Al Sadd and we are against the African champions but our attitude for the first 20 minutes were unacceptable.”

The Barcelona legend added: “After a red card, we played okay. We play with a good attitude, with intensity.

“I could not accept the first 30 minutes, it was impossible to accept it. I am infuriated, we need to find a solution. This is a terrible result.

 “We of course have to rise up. We were in a bad moment because we were unable to compete, but the reality for us was to win the local competition and start the Asian Champions League competition well. “The competition (Club World Cup) is a prize. Now we have to go back (focus on the local
