DBasia.news – Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is still speculated to leave the transfer market this summer. English football observer, Alan Shearer, asked for the firmness of attitude from Pogba.
Pogba, 26, is still speculated to leave Man United even though the summer transfer window in England has ended. Because the transfer market is still open in other European countries.
One strong candidate for Pogba’s destination is Real Madrid. But, United will not just let it go because they can no longer recruit new players (as well as other English clubs).
Pogba, since expressing his desire to start new challenges with other clubs, has stopped talking to the media about his future. No doubt speculation is still circulating.
Shearer asked for assertiveness from Pogba to speak to the public about the situation. Because, so far, only Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United’s manager, has talked about Pogba.
“My problem with him (Pogba) was the only time we heard him talk about the future when he appeared at a promotional event in Tokyo in the summer, then he said it was time for a ‘new challenge’,” Shearer told BBC Sport.
“Now is the right time for him to go out and talk about his situation (to the public). If he doesn’t leave Old Trafford, then he has to come out and say he is defending, is very committed to the club, and will give everything when competing.”
“Until then, he only let others talk about him. United’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will be the one who faces questions about the situation. Only one person can get rid of rumors – Pogba himself,” said Shearer.
Man United have recruited three players this summer, namely: Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Harry Maguire. While those who left were: Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia, and Romelu Lukaku.
