Alexis Sanchez Joins Inter Milan

Alexis Sanchez

DBasia.news –  Alexis Sanchez has been officially loaned by Manchester United to Inter Milan. The former Barcelona and Arsenal player became the fifth player from Chile to strengthen La Beneamata.

As quoted from the official Inter website, Sanchez was loaned for one season without a permanent option at the end of the contract. He was reunited with his former teammate at Man United who had joined Inter first, Romelu Lukaku.

“Alexis Sanchez has officially become an Inter player. Players from Chile have joined from Manchester United on loan transfer status until June 30th, 2020,” said a statement on the official Inter Milan website.

In the history of Inter, there are only four players from Chile who previously strengthened the team, namely Ivan Zamorano (1996-2001), David Pizarro (2005-2006), Luis Jimenez (2007-2009), and Gary Medel (2014-2017).

Sanchez will also reunite with two former team-mates who have fought with him at Francesco Guidolin’s Udinese, Samir Handanovic and Kwadwo Asamoah. The player is expected to find his best performance back at Inter.

Because, since being recruited from Arsenal in January 2018, Sanchez’s performance dropped dramatically with Man United. The spotlight on him gets bigger as the amount of salary he receives at United exceeds senior players.

Sanchez is Inter Milan’s 11th most recent recruitment in the Antonio Conte squad construction project. Before Sanchez, Inter had brought in: Lukaku, Valentino Lazaro, Nicolo Barella, Ionut Radu, Eddie Salcedo, Gabriel Brazao, Stefano Sensi, Lucien Agoume, Diego Godin, and Cristiano Biraghi.
