DBasia.news –  Alexis Sanchez showed a contradictory appearance when he strengthened the Chilean national team with Manchester United. Within two games Sanchez has scored twice with the Chilean national team.

Defending champions Copa America twice, Chile, advanced to the Copa America 2019 knockout phase through two consecutive wins against Japan (4-0) and Ecuador (2-1). The most recent victory occurred against Ecuador at Fonte Nova Arena on Saturday morning (22/6) Western Indonesian Time.

Playing at Fonte Nova Arena, Chile had the advantage via Jose Pedro Fuenzalida’s goal in the eighth minute which was equalized by an Enner Valencia penalty in the 26th minute. Sanchez then scored in the 51st minute and gave a 2-1 victory for Chile.

Sanchez’s two goals with Chile were clearly an anomaly for the 30-year-old player. Likewise in the eyes of Red Devils fans. Sanchez’s two goals were the same as last season’s two goals with Manchester United in all competitions – from a total of 27 appearances.

“Alexis Sanchez has scored the same number of goals as the number of goals he scored from 27 matches with Man United last season in all competitions (two goals),” said the Twitter account @Squawka.

I don’t know what happened to Sanchez for the past two years at Man United. Sanchez was brought in from Arsenal in January 2018 and bartered with Henrikh Mkhitaryan. But at Old Trafford, his performance was not as good as when he was still defending the Gunners.

The combination of injury and inconsistency in play colored the journey of former Udinese and Barcelona players with Man United. Reinaldo Rueda, coach of Chile, also spoke about the 180-degree difference in Sanchez’s performances in Chile and United.

“He (Sanchez) has motivation, love, and some of the relationships he has with the national team and maybe he doesn’t have it at Manchester United,” Rueda said, as quoted by the Goal.

“He arrived at a difficult time, a moment that was not right, maybe in (the team) the most unbalanced United in recent years,” he continued.

Man United reportedly did not mind releasing Alexis Sanchez in the summer transfer market. In addition to not appearing well, Sanchez also received the biggest income with a salary of 400,000 pounds per week.
