DBasia.news – Liverpool aren’t wasting their 72,5 million euro budget to recruit Alisson Becker from AS Roma. He played in three Premier League matches with Liverpool, and in all matches, the 25-year-old Brasilian goalkeeper scored clean sheets.
He did six savings against West Ham United, Crystal Palace, and Brighton & Hove Albion. Liverpool also won in consecutive times with 4-2, 2-0, and 1-0 score against Brighton at Anfield. Moreover, he wasn’t only securing the net from concedence, but also dribbled the ball.
Alisson represented the figure of modern goalkeeper in millenial era, where the goalkeeper has double role to pass the ball and to build the attack from the back. It means the goalkeeper must have strong instinct and reflex, able to play the ball, especially for those who support the team with attack from the back line.
Alisson showed it when he dribbled the ball across Brighton player, Anthony Knockaert. Though had the risk to be stolen with his performance, Alisson didn’t give up and would develop his talent.
“I try my best to help the team in the build-up. If sometimes there is a situation where there is dribbling, I do it carefully. It could be too risky, but it’s part of the game,” Alisson said reported by ESPN.
“We are a team that plays from the back with the ball on the ground. That’s part of the team’s characteristics. Mistakes may happen, but we work hard during the week to everything correctly during the matches,” he said.
Liverpool fans hoped Alisson’s strength and clean sheet will continue until the fourth week of Premier League against Leicester City at King Power Stadium, Saturday September 1.
