DBasia.news – Cristina Fernandez de Kircher, vice president of Argentina, was reportedly the target of assassination. He was almost shot in front of the eye by the suspect.
Taking place in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, when Kirchner (69 years) was walking through the crowd with his bodyguards and greeting residents, a suspect suddenly aimed a gun close to his head.
It is known that the suspect is a Brazilian citizen named Fernando Montiel (35 years) and he tried to shoot at close range. Luckily for Kirchner, the gun fired by the suspect jammed and in the midst of panic he was caught by the police. Confirmed by the Argentine Security Minister, the gun was real with bullets in it.
“Cristina is still alive because, for some reason technically we cannot confirm at this time, the gun armed with five bullets did not fire even though the trigger was pulled. We must eradicate hatred and violence from the media and our political discussions,” said Argentine President Alberto Fernandez. .
The reason for the attack is not known, but the suspect allegedly attacked him because Kirchner was corrupt. The Argentine Football Association (AFA) reacted condemning the attack and postponing all football matches in the league.
“The Argentine Football Association expresses its strongest rejection of what happened to the Vice President of State, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. We ask the club as a whole to warn that violence against any order is never a solution.”
Three matches were originally scheduled to take place this Friday in the top leagues of Argentine football, namely Patronato vs Union, Rosario Central vs Talleres, and Lanus vs Tigre, as well as many more in the leagues below.
