DBasia.news – Currently, AS Monaco are facing a difficult time in Ligue 1. They are threatened to degrade. However, Monaco coach Thierry Henry emphasized the degradation won’t bother him and the players.

Thierry Henry has been handling AS Monaco since October 11, 2018. The former Arsenal striker replaced Leonardo Jardim who got sacked a few days before.

However, Thierry’s arrival didn’t necessarily make AS Monaco improving. In four matches, Henry hasn’t been successful in bringing victory to his team.

Recently, AS Monaco defeated 0-1 against Stade Reims in Ligue 1. In total, Radamel Falcao and friends got two defeats under Thierry Henry.

Consequently, AS Monaco almost degraded due to the poor performance. They are in the 19th rank of Ligue 1 table with 7 points.

However, Thierry Henry insisted AS Monaco players aren’t thinking about the degradation. The French man believes his squad will revive soon.

“I don’t think the team are scared [of being relegated] but it is difficult mentally. It’s a tough situation the one we are facing,” Thierry Henry said.

“Now, as I said a lot of times, there is still plenty of points to take. But, of course, if there will be a bigger gap between the teams ahead of us and us,” Thierry Henry continued.

Thierry Henry was the alumni of AS Monaco football academy. During his active period, the 41-year-old coach supported AS Monaco for five seasons.
