DBasia.news –  Andrea Barzagli, the veteran Juventus defender, decided to hang his shoes aka retire at the end of the 2018-19 season. Although he had said it, Barzagli claimed he did not know what to do after retiring.

Andrea Barzagli is one of the pillars of the Juventus back line. Together with Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, Barzagli is known as the BBC trio.

Unfortunately the BBC trio broke out in the last few seasons. One of the reasons being that Andrea Berzagli often suffered injuries.

Age cannot be deceived, Andrea Barzagli has turned 38 years old. This is what makes the former Italian national team defender decide to hang shoes.

“My future? To be honest, I think a lot about it. When you are a footballer, it’s hard to think about life after retirement,” said Andrea Barzagli.

“Unfortunately the injury forced me to think about retiring. I was interested in many things and would evaluate everything for the next few months.”

“Managers, coaches, or columnists? I want to explore the potential first. I want to find things that make me enthusiastic after retiring,” Andrea Barzagli continued.

Andrea Barzagli has reaped seven Scudetto and four Coppa Italia with Juventus. Previously, Barzagli won the 2006 World Cup when he defended the Italian national team and the Bundesliga in Wolfsburg.
