Ansgar Knauff Is Enjoying His Loan Spell at Eintracht Frankfurt

DBasia.news – Borussia Dortmund winger Ansgar Knauff admits he is very happy and enjoying his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt this season.

Ansgar Knauff left Borussia Dortmund to join Eintracht Frankfurt on an 18-month loan in the January transfer window.

The winger has made a promising start with Frankfurt and has made quite an impact. And he’s very happy with how his career at Die Adler is going so far.

“So far, everything is going well, as we all imagined. My game is improving, I’m starting to blend in well with the team, with the flow of the game and I hope it continues. The players are great, it’s really fun to play with the whole team,” Knauff said.

Knauff spent most of the first half of the season playing for Dortmund U-23s in the third division of German football, as he struggled to break into the first team. But then Eintracht Frankfurt signed him on loan in January.

The 20-year-old has made eight appearances for Die Adler so far and has started their last six games. He scored his first goal for Frankfurt earlier this month in their 4-1 win over Hertha BSC.

Frankfurt have no purchase option in Knauff’s loan deal. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, BVB continues to monitor the development of the German U-21 player. And according to the agreement, he will return to Dortmund after his loan spell ends in 2023.
