Ansu Fati Will Defend the Spanish National Team

DBasia.news –  Robert Moreno, coach of the Spanish national team, has confirmed Ansu Fati as the first part of the Spanish squad. Nevertheless, there are still some problems before he can properly defend Spain.

Fati who is still 16 years old has indeed become the main attraction. The player who was born in Guinea Bissau showed an extraordinary performance with Barcelona to make Spain interested in naturalizing Fati.

So far several reports have stated that Fati is a Spanish citizen. However, Moreno still could not bring Fati due to several obstacles, including injuries that had recently been experienced by Fati.

“He has not been chosen because I believe this is a special case that must be handled openly and correctly,” Moreno said as quoted from Football Espana, Sunday (6/10/2019).

“I did consider calling him and he was in a temporary squad but then there were some problems. He was injured and that made him absent, as well as bureaucratic problems, “he added.

“But he is someone we consider because of his appearance,” he continued.

Fati himself was initially prepared to strengthen the Spanish U-17 national team at the 2019 World Cup in Brazil. However, he was then advised not to appear on the U-17 Team, but was promoted to the U-21, the senior level.

Next week, Spain will return to play two matches to face the 2020 European Cup Qualifiers. The closest match is against Norway on Sunday October 13, 2019 AM and Sweden on Wednesday October 16, 2019 AM.
