DBasia.news –  Inter Milan immediately topped the Serie A standings after a landslide 4-0 win over Lecce in week one which took place at the Giusseppe Meazza on Tuesday (27/8) early morning Western Indonesian Time. Inter’s new striker, Romelu Lukaku, scored in his debut playing in Serie A.

Inter are so dominant in front of their supporters. They dominate control of the ball 60 to 40 percent, releasing 24 kicks versus 17 and eight kicks of them on target.

Four Inter goals were scored by Marcelo Brozovic (21′), Stefano Sensi (24′), Romelu Lukaku (60′), and Antonio Candreva (84′). Lecce also played with 10 players since the 76th minute when Diego Farias received a red card.

Lukaku’s performance was appreciated by the coach, Antonio Conte. Together with his tandem on the front lines, Lautaro Martinez, in tactics 3-5-2, Conte praised both them and all Inter players who performed well in the match.

“Lukaku entered Inter’s world in the best way possible, with good humility. He is a gentle giant, always smiling. He is ready to work for the team and is always available for his teammates,” Conte told DANZ.

“I also want to highlight that Lautaro Martinez is also playing well and everyone deserves praise today. This is only the first match, so we can celebrate until the wee hours of the morning, but from 00.01 we have to think about the next match against Cagliari.”

Lukaku was bought by Inter from Manchester United for 65 million euros. The big money spent by Inter, plus Conte’s passion for it, has been proven by his performance against Lecce.

“Don’t forget Lukaku was bought for 65 million euros and paid for five years, so when people talk about big spending, it’s not that big. Tonight, Lukaku shows why we struggled to recruit him,” explained Conte.
