Antonio Conte Worried About Inter Milan

DBasia.news –  The depth of the Inter Milan squad is not good enough. This worried the coach, Antonio Conte.

Inter Milan won only one point after playing 2-2 against Parma in the 2019-2020 Serie A match, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday (26/10). Inter had trailed 1-2 before Romelu Lukaku scored in the second half.

After the match, Antonio Conte said one of Inter’s current weaknesses was that the player’s material was not good enough. The former tactician assessed that Inter could be hit by an injury storm if it continued to rely on players who used to be starters.

“I am quite worried about the conditions behind this. Serie A and the Champions League is a tiring competition,” Conte said as reported by Sky Sports Italia.

“I am worried because if you continue to play the same player, it will increase the chances of getting injured. So, I think the club must find a way to deal with the situation,” he continued.

“Inter Milan is a big team and we don’t want to be just participants in the competition,” explained the former Italian national team coach.

Inter Milan have reportedly wanted to bring in several players in the upcoming transfer window. One focus is on finding a new midfielder.

Some media claim Inter Milan have begun to negotiate with Barcelona to bring Ivan Rakitic. Also, Inter peeked at the opportunity to bring Nemanja Matic and Denis Zakaria.
