Antonio Conte’s agent denies rumors of a pre-contract deal with Arsenal

DBasia.news – News broke that former Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte had entered into a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal. However, the news was immediately denied.

Federico Pastorello, Antonio Conte’s agent, insists there is no pre-contract agreement between his client and Arsenal. Pastorello insists the news is completely untrue.

Pastorello also said Arsenal had yet to make an official offer to Conte.

Conte currently does not have a club after agreeing to terminate his contract at Inter Milan one week after leading the Nerazzuri to win Serie A last season.

Reported by Football-Italy, in the contract termination agreement with Inter, there is a clause that made Conte only able to train clubs outside Italy this season.

Lately, Mikel Arteta’s position in Arsenal’s managerial position has been heated following a bad result at the start of the Premier League. Conte’s name also emerged as a strong candidate to train if Arsenal kicked out Arteta.

In his coaching career, Conte has managed Arsenal’s neighbors, Chelsea, for two years, from 2016 to 2018.

With the Blues, Conte won the Premier League in 2016/2017 and the FA Cup in 2017/2018.

Apart from Arsenal, Antonio Conte is also said to be one of the candidates for being the coach of the Dutch national team, which is currently still vacant after Frank de Boer’s departure after the 2020 European Cup.
