DBasia.news – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is no longer ‘hung’ by Manchester United. The club has confirmed that Solskjaer has been appointed as permanent manager.
The Norwegian man replaced Jose Mourinho in early December as an interim manager until the end of the season. This decision was proven right, at least until now.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a positive impact on Paul Pogba and mates. Manchester United won 14 wins in 19 matches. The Red Devils lost only three times.
Now, the opportunity for Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League zone is still wide open. Meanwhile, the Red Devils will face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.
“Since arriving in the first day, I feel at home at this club. “It is an honor to be a Manchester United player, and then start my coaching career here,” Solskjaer said.
“The past few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all the coaches, players and staff for the work we have done so far.”
Manchester United hs tied Solskjaer for the next three years. Previously, the name Mauricio Pochettino had emerged.
“This is a job that I have always dreamed of and I am very happy to have the opportunity to lead the club in the long run. Hopefully, it will provide continuous success that can be worthy for our fans ,” continued the manager.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s senior, Ed Woodward, revealed the reason for making Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as permanent manager. Ed Woodward felt Solskjaer understood completely on the matter of the Red Devils.
“Since entering as temporary manager in December, Solskjaer’s results have spoken for themselves. More than just games and results, Solskjaer brings a lot of experience, both as a player and as a coach, coupled with the desire to give young players their opportunities and deep understanding about club culture, “said Ed Woodward.
“This all means that he is the right person to bring Manchester United forward. I want to thank Solskjaer and the training team for everything they have done so far. I congratulate him on this very decent contract.”
“Fans and everyone at the club are behind him when he wants to take us to where we need and build the next stage in our history,” said Ed Woodward.
The debut of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as permanent manager will begin when Manchester United host Watford in the 2018-2019 Premier League match, at Old Trafford Stadium, Saturday (30/3).
