Arsenal plans on leaving Lacazette in January

DBasia.news – Alexandre Lacazette has not shown any intention to extend his contract with Arsenal. The club are reportedly preparing to sell the striker in the January transfer window.

Lacazette’s contact will expire in the summer of next year. Even so, there has been no sign of the player to sign a new contract with Arsenal.

If there is no contract extension, Lacazette can leave Arsenal on a free transfer. Therefore, Arsenal are preparing to sell Lacazette before his contract expires.

Some time ago, it was said that AS Roma wanted Lacazette to replace Edin Dzeko who moved to Inter Milan. However, Rome ultimately chose Tammy Abraham.

ESPN previously reported that Lacazette was interested in other big clubs, such as Juventus and Atletico Madrid. Finally, the newly wealthy Premier League club Newcastle United is also said to be targeting Lacazette.

Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in 2017. The French player scored 28 goals in 30 games in his final season with Lyon. But he only reaped 14 goals in 32 Premier League appearances for Arsenal the following season.
