DBasia.news – Arsenal are in the hunt for players to fill the attacking midfield position. The Gunners are reportedly approaching Real Madrid to borrow a young midfielder from Norway, Martin Odegaard.
As reported by SkySport, the 22 year old player hopes to be loaned out to another club this month to receive regular playing time. Real Madrid officials are currently considering the latest proposal from the London club.
However, Arsenal have tough competition to secure Odegaard’s services, including from the club that previously used Odegaard’s services, Real Sociedad.
Odegaard was impressive when on loan at Sociedad last season, recording seven goals and nine assists in 36 appearances.
Real Sociedad had the option of extending Odegaard’s loan spell for another season, but Real decided to call him and become part of the first-team squad.
However, Sociedad is reportedly starting to approach Real Madrid to borrow Odegaard again.
Odegaard himself has struggled to find playing time under Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane this season he has only made 12 appearances without scoring a goal.
