Arsenal Target Leandro Trossard

DBasia.news –  Arsenal only have two strikers, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. Danny Welbeck got injured and The Gunners try to find the successor in the transfer market.

Emery confirmed that he won’t recruit a new striker in the January transfer market. But, Arsenal talent scout keeps on monitoring some talented players to be the striker.

Mirror reported and confirmed by the agent, Leandro Trossard is targeted by Arsenal. Trossard, 23, the striker who plays in Belgium club, Genk, already scored 11 goals from 19 matches this season.

Trossard’s agent, Josy Comhair, confirmed the interests from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. But, Arsenal would try to sign him during the summer transfer market, not the winter on January.

“I contacted representatives from Arsenal and Tottenham. At Spurs, nobody wanted to confirm that Trossard is an option, but Arsenal did,” Comhair revealed.

“They told me Leandro has a very interesting profile for them and that they’ve been following him since August. They also added it was a good choice to stay at Genk for another year.”

Comhair didn’t mention the transfer fee of U21 Belgium national team player. But, Genk manager Philippe Clement said that Trossard won’t be sold under £25M.

“I’m not afraid Trossard is leaving, it was not so easy to keep him last summer, but we talked,” Clement added.

“Normally no player leaves in January. 100 million is something else, but 25 million is not enough for Trossard to leave in January,” he emphasized.
