DBasia.news –  Arsene Wenger stated that before turning to Juventus, Aaron Ramsey actually still wanted to stay with Arsenal. Wenger also mentioned that there was someone who interfered and made the England midfielder move to Juventus. In fact, Ramsey had planned to continue his career at Arsenal.

Former Arsenal manager Wenger brought Ramsey when he was young in 2008 from Cardiff City, and the Wales international midfielder was one of the important players at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger said Ramsey had been offered a new contract and had agreed to it, but the influence of other parties made him choose to go along with his work ties which ended last summer.

To beIN Sports, Wenger said: “I had a chance to meet him (Ramsey) at the end (my term of office), he actually wanted to stay at Arsenal.

“They have reached an agreement and the club is back to take care of it. That is what I understand.

“I have tried for a long time to extend the contract, but sometimes you have influence from the agent too.

“Each case is different and you have to understand in every decision about who has an influence – or not – when you make a transfer decision.

“From what I know, he wants to stay,” he added.
