Arsene Wenger Comments on Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Absence in the Europa League Final

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

DBasia.news –  Henrikh Mkhitaryan is certain to miss the Europa League final 2018-19. Ex-Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, commented and regretted Mkhitaryan’s absence.

Arsenal decided not to bring Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 2018-2019 Europa League final match against Chelsea. The Gunners believes that the security of the former Manchester United player will be threatened.

At present, there is a conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. That began when the two countries fought over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This threatens the safety of Mkhitaryan who is an Armenian.

“That is something that should not happen in football. You can’t not play football just because of a political problem,” Wenger said as quoted by the Guardian.

In addition to the issue of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the 2018-2019 Europa League final match also raises a polemic regarding ticket sales. UEFA only provided 6,000 tickets for Chelsea and Arsenal supporters.

In addition, the price of travel and tickets has become even worse. So far, 3,500 tickets have been sold for Arsenal and 2,000 ticket for Chelsea supporters.

“The team does not face such problems. They are in an ideal condition. They have personal kettles and good business chairs. This is a problem for supporters,” Wenger said.

“I support Arsenal and it will last forever. I have allowed my life to be tied to the club. However, I am pretty good at focusing on different things.”

“I will not give judgement. I am happy when they win and are not happy when they do not look good. However, after that I will try to take distance from Arsenal,” said Wenger.

Arsene Wenger has coached Arsenal for 22 years. In that period, a number of prestigious titles were won such as the Premier League, the English Super League Cup to the FA Cup.
