Arteta wasn’t in Aubameyang’s farewell message

DBasia.news – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed his farewell to Arsenal in a message. Interestingly, he did not mention the name of the Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta.

Aubameyang and Arteta’s relationship has indeed deteriorated in the past month. At its peak, the player was frozen from the main squad of the team from North London.

Arteta cited indisciplinary cases as the reason for freezing Aubameyang. The person concerned has been absent from training more than once for no apparent reason.

These conditions made Aubameyang’s name included in the selling list in the winter transfer market. Meanwhile, Arsenal were also busy looking for a replacement.

Aubameyang and Arsenal have finally agreed to end their partnership 18 months earlier than they should have. This decision paved the way for the Gabonese striker to head to Barcelona.

Arsenal have announced the departure of Aubameyang. The 32-year-old player also responded by writing a message to the fans.

“To Arsenal fans, Thank you for making London home to me and my family over the last four years. We have been through ups and downs together and your support means a lot to me,” Aubameyang wrote on Instagram.

“Having the opportunity to win trophies and the honor of being captain of this club is something I will always keep in my heart.”

While strengthening Arsenal, Aubameyang had become a public idol at the Emirates Stadium. He helped the club win two prestigious trophies, namely the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

Aubameyang also took this opportunity to mention Arteta and Arsenal’s management. He did not mention the names of club officials.

“I have always been 100% focused and committed to doing everything I can for this club, which is why leaving without a farewell is a real pain. But that is football,” continued Aubameyang.

“I’m sad that I didn’t get the chance to help my team mates in the last few weeks. But I have nothing but respect for this club and wish them and the fans many successful years ahead!”
