DBasia.news – Arsenal has officially appointed Mikel Arteta as their new coach, taking over the position from Freddie Ljungberg, who was temporarily in charge after the Gunners fired Unai Emery.
After his appointment, Arteta held a press conference to discuss his new role at Arsenal and highlight several different aspects of his new assignment.
The Spaniard was then specifically asked about plans for the January transfer window, where Arsenal still seem to need to invest despite spending a lot of money in the summer transfer market.
“We have not yet discussed the transfer market,” Arteta said.
“Obviously there is a lot of discussion for that.”
“I only think of ways to win football games now and find ways to improve the little things that make them (the players) confident to step on the soccer field and do better than what they have done,” he said.
While still being coached by Emery, Arsenal had brought in several players, such as Kieran Tierney, David Luiz, Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli in the summer transfer market.
