Ashley Young Call Man United Aim for Victory at PSG Headquarters

DBasia.news –  Manchester United are no longer favorites to qualify for the last eight of the Champions League. They were dropped from the candidate after a 0-2 defeat to PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 at Old Trafford.

Understandably, it is unlikely that the Red Devils will reverse the aggregate goal to 3-0 or at least 2-0 to bring the match to extra rounds, then the potential for penalties, when visiting PSG’s headquarters, Parc des Princes.

Les Parisiens is famous for being tough and hard to beat when playing in front of their fanatical fans. Under these conditions, it is only natural that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side has been predicted not to qualify for the last eight of the Champions League.

But, all of the Man United players saw the small possibility as a glimmer of hope to create a miracle in Paris. Ashley Young, Man United’s second captain, confirmed that his team only thought of victory at PSG headquarters.

“We know what we can do. People can cross us out. They did it at the beginning of this season and now they do it again. It makes no difference,” said Young, reported   Sky Sports.

“It’s certain that the match will be difficult later. It won’t be easy. We have to go there, win matches, and score goals.”

“I have full confidence if we survive well and if we create opportunities that I know we can do, we can win matches,” Young added.

The 33-year-old did not think long about the way his team reversed aggregate goals. Most important, United’s mindset is to try to win the match in Paris.

“Winning matches. That’s what we want to do. We have to play there and win matches. We can’t worry too much about them, it’s all about us,” Young added.

Romelu Lukaku, who scored four goals from United’s last two matches, is expected to be a differentiator against the PSG defense that was raised by Thiago Silva and his friends and have a full-goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon.

“I don’t want to play against him. He gives us a different existence. It’s nice to see all the attackers in good form, the whole team. Not only 11 players on the game but squad games,” Young continued.

“Everything must be ready. Everything must be prepared and ready to be played when the manager calls you. When you have a competition to win a place, then it will be more helpful (maximizing potential),” he concluded.
