DBasia.news – Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang believes he can reach the Golden Boot and beat Mohamed Salah on the Premier League’s top scorer list.
“When you are a striker, the Golden Boot is very meaningful. When you win it, it’s always fun. If you want to be the best, you have to win the Golden Boot,” said Aubameyang.
Aubameyang has scored 19 goals for Arsenal in the Premier League this season. The Gabonese left behind two goals from Salah who led the list of top scores.
Arsenal still have two games remaining against Brighton and Burnley. The 29-year-old player was confident he could add to the coffers of his goal and overtake Salah.
“It’s a difficult competition. The Premier League has many great strikers. They are very consistent throughout the season,” explained Aubameyang.
“But I am a confident person and I know I can do it. It doesn’t matter if it fails, but there are still two matches to play in the Premier League, so I have a chance and why not? “
