DBasia.news – Chelsea failed to achieve three points in the London Derby last weekend against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium, Sunday (25/11) on the 13th-week of Premier League.
In the 3-1 match, The Blues even got left behind by the quick goal from Dele Alli at 8′. Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min added the score at 16′ and 54′. The contender responded with one goal from Olivier Giroud at 85′.
This is really disappointing for Chelsea considering the unbeaten record must be stopped. Responding to the defeat, Cesar Azpilicueta raised his voice.
“The start was really bad. After 15 minutes being 2-0 down is tough to come back from,” Azpilicueta said cited by Evening Standard.
“It’s true in the last couple of games we didn’t start the game in the way we have to start. In some ways, we didn’t pay for it, but we paid for it straightaway against Tottenham,” he added.
Despite admitting that the squad performed poorly and deserved the defeat, the 29-year-old player confirmed that he and the teammates would revive soon and learned from this failure.
“It’s a tough one to take. We have to do better and it hurts to lose in this way. We have to learn from our mistakes, to improve and come back as a team. We need to be strong and get back to winning ways,” he concluded.
Chelsea are preparing for the upcoming match against the Greece team, PAOK in the 5th matchday of Europe League group phase, Friday (30/11).
