Bale Hopes Wales Arises

DBasia.news –  Gareth Bale expects Wales’ 2-1 victory from the match against Azerbaijan to be a turning point in the hunt for Wales qualifying for the 2020 European Cup finals.

With only six matches left at Cardiff City Stadium, Ryan Giggs’ side is on the verge of an embarrassing series that will ruin their hopes of reaching the European Cup next year.

Despite leading by Pavlo Pashayev’s own goal in the first half, Wales conceded an equalizing goal that should not have happened from Mahir Emreli in the second half.

Already in a dangerous position in Group E after successive defeats to Hungary and Croatia, Wales were saved by their captain when Bale gore the ball from close range.

Wales now ranks third in Group E, three points behind Hungary and Croatia after four matches.

“Azerbaijan is difficult. We are careless sometimes,” Bale said.

“An imperfect victory helps you to gain a champion mentality and momentum. Hopefully, this will be a turning point.
