Barcelona Failed to Win, Quique Setien isn’t worried about being fired

DBasia.news – Barcelona manager, Quique Setien claimed he is not worried about the club management firing him following the failure of the Blaugrana to win. Setien believes Messi and colleagues are still on the right track.

Barcelona achieved three draws in the last four matches. Latest, Lionel Messi and colleagues played 2-2 against Atletico Madrid.

These results has made Barcelona threatened to be four points behind the top standings, Real Madrid. At present, the distance between the two teams is one point with Real Madrid having one game remaining.

“I do not feel under threat at all,” Quique Setien said when asked whether he was afraid of being fired by Barcelona, Marca reported.

“This is doing, a lot more difficulties. Removing the points means we are getting away from the title. However, we have to keep working and Atletico are a good team,” Setien said.

Despite failing to win, Setien is still happy to see the appearance of the Barcelona players. According to him, it is challenging to face a club that plays like Atletico Madrid.

“It’s true we haven’t been able to win. However, sometimes we control the game well. It’s not easy to play against Atletico. They are disciplined. I am quite happy with the players,” the coach added.

There are several names of coaches who have reportedly entered the radar of Barcelona to replace Quique Setien. One of the most widely reported names is the former player, Xavi Hernandez.
