DBasia.news – Tired of being under Lionel Messi, Neymar chose to leave Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2017. His departure is still stealing the attention until now.
His exit made Neymar became the world’s most expensive player. Les Parisien spent a fantastic budget, reached 222 million euro. He signed the contract until 2022.
His first season went well, he didn’t need a long time to adapt and created 28 goals and 16 assists, also delivered PSG to win three different trophies: Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue.
Just after a short victory period in France, the 26-year-old player is always related to transfer rumor. It’s assumed that he no longer can’t stand staying there and might leave. Many hope that he would return to Camp Nou, just like Arthur Melo expects.
“Personally, I’m praying that he comes because he is a great player. That’s unquestionable,” Arthur said cited by Goal.
“The more top quality players we have, the better (for Barcelona),” he added.
Unfortunately, Arthur’s hope won’t come true shortly. Apparently, the team manager Unai Emery confirmed that the club don’t have any intention to sign him back.
Neymar’s absence doesn’t really impactful of Barcelona performance. They are still leading the temporary table of LaLiga and secured one place in the Champions League knockout round.
