DBasia.news – Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern Munich coach had to find a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. And now he has shown interest at Harry Kane.
Munich could not prevent Lewandowski’s departure. The Polish striker is eager to move to Barcelona this summer despite still having one more year remaining on his contract.
Munich finally sold Lewandowski for 50 million euros. But Die Roten never signed a replacement.
Nagelsmann realized finding a replacement for Lewandowski was not an easy job. The contribution of the 33-year-old player has been evident in the success of Munich in the last decade.
Nagelsmann assesses Kane to be one of the few attackers who can replace Lewandowski’s role. But he did not deny the difficulty of the transfer.
“Kane is a brilliant player, one of two or three who can play as a centre-forward and a number 10. He is very strong, brilliant with his head and with both feet,” Nagelsmann said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“But he is expensive, that’s the problem. I don’t know the price, but it’s challenging for Bayern Munich.”
Bayern Munich’s chances of signing Kane are indeed tough this summer. Tottenham Hotspur will not let their captain go just like that.
Tottenham had even turned down a 100 million pounds offer from Manchester City last year. This figure seems difficult to be issued by Munich.
Even so, Munich’s opportunity to get Kane has not really closed. The German giants could try to make a bid for him next year as his contract with Tottenham draws to a close.
Moreover, Kane once expressed his desire to move to a bigger club in order to get a trophy. Munich is one of the few clubs that can realize the wish of the England national team player.
