Bayern Munich is still trying to keep David Alaba

DBasia.news – It is rumored that David Alaba has agreed to move to Real Madrid next season. However, Bayern Munich are reportedly still trying to keep him.

Alaba’s contract with Munich will indeed end at the end of this season. These conditions has allowed other clubs to propose to him for free.

Big clubs are competing for Alaba’s signature. Apart from Madrid, there are names like Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester United.

According to Marca, Alaba has made his choice to Madrid. He will sign a contract duration of four years after parting with Munich.

The news has reached Munich coach, Hansi Flick. But he admits that he hasn’t given up on persuading Alaba to stay at the Allianz Arena.

“These rumors are things that are always possible when there is a transfer window and a player’s contract will run out. At the moment I have to admit that I haven’t heard anything from him on this topic,” Flick said.

“Hope is dead at last. I know that things are moving in a direction that means change for the team.”

Flick is indeed one of the people who is most hoped by Alaba to extend his contract in Munich. However, the club and the players’ representatives did not find a common ground.

“David Alaba has put in a good performance against Freiburg and it is important for him to stay focused. We know things like this are possible in football and there are always changes at the end of the season,” he added.

Alaba’s departure will be a big loss for Munich. At just 28 years old, he is considered to be entering the golden age of his career.
