DBasia.news – Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern Munich coach, talks about his thoughts on Group C’s matchday 1 match against Inter Milan, at the Giuseppe Meazza. According to him, Inter remain a dangerous team even though they have lately been inconsistent.
Bayern Munich started the journey in the Champions League this season by traveling to the headquarters of Inter Milan. Meanwhile, the other two contestants in Group C, Barcelona and Viktoria Plzen also faced each other.
Currently, Inter are in a negative trend after two defeats in the last three matches. One of the defeats was won against AC Milan last weekend.
However, Julian Nagelsmann does not want to see this as an advantage. He considered, Inter can actually rise in the match later.
“It can really help the team. They can play in the Champions League without the same pressure or relieve frustration in this tournament,” explained Nagelsmann as reported by Football Italia.
“Inter are an experienced team. Sometimes, a little distraction can make the results swing to one side or the other. We saw there are different phases in the match against Milan,” he explained.
Nagelsmann also does not see that the absence of Romelu Lukaku will reduce Inter’s explosive power as the Nerazzurri still have other top strikers.
“Romelu Lukaku did emerge. However, there is Edin Dzeko who is doing well and of course there is Lautaro Martinez. We have to defend a little more than usual,” stated Nagelsmann.
