Bejo Sugiantoro Won’t Praise David Da Silva As the Top Scorer of Liga 1

DBasia.news – Persebaya Surabaya striker David Aparecido da Silva’s productivity in the 2018 Liga 1 is great. From 14 matches, the Brasilian striker scored 11 goals. The record was three goals behind the current top scorer, Fernando Rodriguez Ortega.

But if we see further, David is stronger than Fernando. Goal rate of David da Silva is ahead of Fernando Rodriguez, the striker of Mitra Kukar. Fernando Rodrigues’ performances are many more compared to the Persebaya goal-getter. Until now, Fernando Rodriguez played in 18 matches.

David da Silva’s goals added when Persebaya played against Persela Lamongan in Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Sunday (5/8). In that match, David da Silva’s brace delivered winning for Bajul Ijo. However, the caretaker of Persebaya Bejo Sugiantoro won’t praised the former Bhayangkara FC player.

However, the B licensed coach admitted that David da Silva has strength in terms of speed.

“We played collectively, the priority to front passing can be delivered by the players. Moreover our striker, David da Silva has the speed,” Bejo said.

The former Persik Kediri coach expects David Silva to be more productive in the rest of the competition. Moreover, the current goal record is still behind the target. At the beginning of 2018 Liga 1 competition, David had a specific target, at least 15 goals in this season.

“Of course every coach wants his player to score the goal, including me. This is for Persebaya,” Bejo concluded.
