Karim Benzema encourages Real Madrid to immediately secure the services of Kylian Mbappe. He boasted that he would form a terrifying duet with the 23-year-old striker.
Mbappe’s future is still a mystery to this day. Although his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will expire at the end of the 2021-2022 season, he has not yet made a decision.
Mbappe is still open to extending his contract at PSG. However, rumors of a move to Madrid are louder.
Benzema certainly knows the rumors of Mbappe’s arrival to Madrid. He hoped it would actually come true.
Benzema even can’t wait to have a duet with Mbappe at club level. Lots of goals in large numbers did not even hesitate to promise.
“I like playing with him (Mbappe) in the national team and I want to play with him at club level. I think we will score twice or maybe even triple as many goals,” Benzema told L’Equipe.
Benzema certainly does not talk nonsense. He already knows the quality of Benzema because he is a duet partner in the French national team.
From that experience, Benzema seems to fit in with Mbappe’s style of play. Both can fill each other’s empty spaces in the opponent’s penalty box.
“With Mbappe, I understand myself well in the national team. We know what each other will do,” he added.
“For example, we both like to go wide to the left. But we’ll never be there both at the same time.”
