DBasia.news – Simon McMenemy’s name appears as the strong candidate to coach Indonesia national team. Bhayangkara FC as the coach owner are genuinely releasing the Scotland architect.
“We will give the decision to PSSI. If it’s for the country, we will give the best,” said Bhayangkara FC manager AKBP Sumardji to reporters.
PSSI and Bhayangkara FC have met to discuss the possibility of Simon to coach Indonesia national team. However, Sumardji said, it’s not only Simon in the list.
“PSSI has many candidates. This is just a small discussion,” Sumardji added.
Sumardji didn’t know who will be the choice for PSSI. But he insisted that Bhayangkara FC will let go of their coach for the country.
“The question should go to PSSI, not me. Principally, we will help when needed,” Sumardji said.
Simon’s contract with Bhayangkara FC will end this season. If he is chosen to be the coach of Indonesia national team, the first challenge for the former Mitra Kukar coach is the 2018 AFF Cup.
Simon’s achievement with Bhayangkara FC was amazing. In his first season, Simon has successfully brought The Guardian to achieve the 2017 Liga 1 title.
