Blaise Matuidi Enters the French squad, Adrien Rabiot Remains at Juventus

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Blaise Matuidi will replace his colleague, Adrien Rabiot, in the French national team squad. France national team coach, Didier Deschamps, also did not involve Rabiot in the upcoming 2020 European Cup Qualifiers against Iceland and Turkey.

France will compete in the 2020 European Cup Qualifiers against Iceland on October 11 local time. Three days later the Deschamps’ team will host Turkey on October 14 local time in their Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Matuidi himself is the only Serie A-based player summoned by the French national team.

Not being summoned by the French national team further added to Rabiot’s restlessness. Lately, the player brought in from Paris Saint-Germain has begun to feel restless as he rarely gets the chance to appear by Maurizio Sarri, the Juventus coach.

Under Sarri, Rabiot has only three appearances in Serie A. He has never even played in the Champions League.

List of players summoned by the French national team:

Goalkeepers: Alphonse Areola (Real Madrid), Hugo Lloris (Tottenham), Steve Mandanda (Marseille)

Back: Lucas Digne (Everton), Leo Dubois (Lyon), Lucas Hernandez (Bayern Munich), Presnel Kimpembe (Paris Saint-Germain), Clement Lenglet (Barcelona), Benjamin Pavard (Bayern Munich), Raphael Varane (Real Madrid), Kurt Zouma (Chelsea)

Center: N’Golo Kante (Chelsea), Blaise Matuidi (Juventus), Tanguy Ndombele (Tottenham), Moussa Sissoko (Tottenham), Corentin Tolisso (Bayern Munchen)

Front: Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco), Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich), Olivier Giroud (Chelsea), Antoine Griezmann (Barcelona), Jonathan Ikone (Lille), Thomas Lemar (Atletico Madrid), Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain)
