Blaise Matuidi Refuses to Leave Juventus

DBasia.news –  Juventus midfielder, Blaise Matuidi, has confirmed that he will stay with the Old Lady next season. The 32-year-old player admitted he did not want to leave the Bianconeri in the near future.

Blaise Matuidi’s contract with Juventus expires on June 30, 2021. However, it is certain that Juventus have activated the option to extend his contract as stated in the clause. The certainty was conveyed by Matuidi himself.

“I will stay here, in my contract there is a clause for an additional year and the club has decided to use it. I am glad to continue the other season here, “Matuidi said as quoted by Soccerway.

“I have never doubted it as I felt the confidence of all parties. “It’s certain that I’m getting older and in this choice, I’m also thinking about my family who loves Turin,” he added.

Matuidi had previously been rumored to return to his home country, France, following the interest of Olympique Lyonnais. However, the player reportedly declined the offer.

Blaise Matuidi himself has defended Juventus since 2017. He recorded 118 appearances in all competitions with a collection of eight goals.

In the next game, Juventus will meet Lyon in the top 16 of the Champions League 2019-2020, Thursday morning WIB (27/02) and (18/03).
