Boateng Transfer from Bayern to PSG Is on Process

DBasia.news – 2018 might be the last moment for Jerome Boateng with Bayern Munchen, his club since 2011. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) approach the 29-year-old central defender.

Les Parisiens, PSG name, want to add their strength in the defensive line by experience and quality, though they have Thiago Silva, Presnel Kimpembe, and also Marquinhos.

Moreover, Boateng might see his two compatriots in PSG, Kevin Trapp and Julian Draxler. The former Manchester City is worth 50 to 60 million euro.

Bayern Munchen CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenige admits the negotiation between PSG and Boateng agent to discuss his transfer probability to Paris. Furthermore, Bayern won’t mind to let go of Boateng due to enough replacement.

“At the moment there is no direct contact between the clubs. But there is contact between his agents and PSG. We have to wait, if we could find a basis for a transfer,” Rummenigge said quoted by Goal.

“Now we have to wait and see whether at the end of the day we find a basis on which we can agree on a transfer. We have to find a transfer fee that would be acceptable for both. In principle, we have enough players at this position, even if Jerome leaves,” he explained.

If Boateng really leaves, Bayern under Niko Kovac still has Mats Hummels, Javi Martinez, Niklas Sule, and Lars Lukas Mai to play as the central defenders. If needed, David Alaba and Joshua Kimmich are ready to be the emergency central defenders.
