Bonaventura Officially Strengthen Fiorentina for Two Years

DBasia.news – Giacomo Bonaventura finally chose to leave AC Milan. Now, the 31-year-old player is officially recruited by Fiorentina on a two-year contract.

Bonaventura parted ways with Milan, the club he has defended for six seasons, at the end of the 2019/2020 Italian League competition. The Italian midfielder played his last match in a Rossoneri shirt in the final weekend of Serie A, when Milan won 3-0 over Cagliari in early August.

Total Bonaventura was able to make 184 appearances during his six-year career at San Siro. The former Atalanta player also recorded 35 goals and 30 assists for Milan.

After leaving Milan, Bonaventura was reportedly going to join Benevento, a club that this season was promoted to Serie A and coached by Filipo Inzaghi. However, the player who has 14 caps with the Italian national team decided to join Fiorentina.

The news of Giacomo Bonaventura’s announcement to Fiorentina was announced by La Viola on their official website, Thursday (10/09/2020). Bonaventura is under contract for two years at the Artemio Franchi.

“Fiorentina announces that they have signed the player Giacomo Bonaventura. Bonaventura, born in San Severino Marche on August 22, 1989, has played with Atalanta and AC Milan in Serie A, making 184 appearances and scoring 35 goals during his last six seasons with the Rossoneri,” read the Fiorentina statement on their official website.

Bonaventura himself also uploaded a photo of himself when he first set foot on Fiorentina. He admitted that he could not wait to start his adventure with Franck Ribery et al.

“Ready for this new adventure,” said Giacomo Bonaventura on his official Instagram page.
